Have your say on Musculoskeletal (MSK) services in Milton Keynes

Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning group (BLMK CCG) is inviting people to join a patient focus group to review Musculoskeletal (MSK) services.

To do this well, BLMK CCG need to know what patients think about the services they’ve received over the past 5 years and how they can be improved in the future.

What are MSK conditions?

MSK conditions are those affecting the bones, muscles and joints such as arthritis, frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, slipped disc, sciatica, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and many more.

How can I take part?

The CCG team want to hear from patients and carers

  • from Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes
  • who have experienced the MSK services in BLMK in the past 5 years (prior to the Coronavirus Pandemic, during the pandemic and now)
  • with any type of MSK condition (short term or long term)
  • who want to make a difference and improve services for everybody

Do you have time to join a focus group to discuss with health care professionals and other patients to share your experiences and suggestions for how MSK services could better support patients now, and in the future?

To take part you will need to:

  • Have access to a computer/tablet to take part in online discussion, read documents and provide feedback electronically
  • Be available between October 2021 and March 2022.

If you are unable to take part in person, BLMK CCG still want to hear from you. You can share your experiences of the service and provide feedback on how services can be improved in the future by completing this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/G5WBY7B

If you are interested in finding out more, please contact the CCG team at blmkccg.mskpatients@nhs.net or call 01525 624292

Meetings will be held via video conferencing until the CCG can ensure it is safe enough to do so in person. There will be regular and ad hoc meetings depending on your availability.

If you would like to get involved please contact BLMK CCG before 12th November 2021.
