The state of care in General Practice

21/09/2017

A Care Quality Commission (CQC) report has found that General Practice is delivering real improvement and innovation, despite facing 'very real' pressures.

The CQC undertook a comprehensive inspection of 7,365 GP practices and published a report of its findings. It found General Practice to be the highest performing sector that it regulates, with almost 90% being rated 'good'. Services are rated on whether they provide patients with care that is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

The CQC published similar reports on NHS accute hospitals, mental health services, and adult social care services.
